Spread fig jam on crostini and top with St.Agur cheese.  Bake at 350F until the cheese melts.

SIMPLE DESSERT

Drizzle aged balsamic vinegar over vanilla ice cream and garnish with fresh strawberries.

 

 

EASY APPETIZERS

Roll thinly sliced bresaola with fresh ricotta, spicy arugula and a squeeze of lemon.

Roast De Luca's house-made sausage, wrap in pancetta and broil until crispy.

 

PERFECT CHEESE BOARD & FOCACCIA

Place sharp Italian Asiago, rich Spanish Valdeon Blue, buttery Manchego and creamy Delice de Bourgogne on a breadboard with toasted almonds and dates.  Serve with crusty Calabrese bread or this simple, savory focaccia:

 

focaccia2.jpgRoll out our fresh pizza dough, brush with olive oil and sprinkled with fresh rosemary and Parmigiano Reggiano.  Bake until golden.

 

RICH PASTA SAUCE

Saute shallots with butter and extra virgin olive oil, add toasted walnuts, creamy gorgonzola and a splash of heavy cream.  toss with your favorite pasta or gnocchi and top with Parmigiano Reggiano.

Your cookbook was given to us as a gift (and when visiting Winnipeg we brought to have it signed a year ago). Presently it is at our cottage and we dearly wish to prepare shortly one of your appetizers (asparagus, proscuitto, parmesan). Would appreciate if you could send it to me.
